PRERNA

When I was about to come in this world, I asked God who will take care of me…who will protect me from all the dangers…who will be with me during all my ups n downs..
God said..a guy with heavy voice but beautiful heart,..he will look tough from outside but will be very loving..
I came into this world & met him…I slept in his arms…he made me learn how to walk..how to speak..he was always with me during all my evens and odds…I call him DAD..

Its true that 4 every child ,their dad is supposed to be the strongest and dearest of all…but it’s the fact of my life…
Since my childhood, you were always a source of inspiration for me…PRERNA ki PRERNA..

I had a very colorful childhood & I say it with great pride that he is the color of my life..I still remember those days when we used to play, fight, wrestle like same age kids. And when it used to come on facing mom, we were always in same group.

Dad you were always my DOST..!!! No matter what the game be. Whether chess, carom or cricket. The one sided cricket match was always ruled by you. Me on balling side, mom at fielding & you..BATTING..!!!

Remember you bought me a bow-arrow from shilpgram… You used to play more than me. And finally broke the glass window of my room..

You are still a kid at heart..!! Games used to come on my name but dad used to play it more than me. Ohhh that video game too… I still remember you used to wake me n mom at 11.30 at night just to make us see the next stage of MINE SWEEPER..!!!

My favorite time used to be running round-n-round in home. We just needed any small reason for that… And the very next view would be either me running behind u from sitting room to dining hall & then to bedroom & then back to sitting room or u behind me… Even mom used to join us many a times!!

You had a habit of teasing me and taking PANGA from me… My top gun was to hide your office keys.. I used to hide them to most stupid place & used to make you run behind me especially at noon!!

Your T-shirts were my all time favorites.. No matter how big they were for me, but I always used to manage it to wear them. And the funniest part was we fighting for same shirt and shoes when we had to go out. We had to always wear same at the same time.

MOST WONDERFUL TIME we had… We were free from Dracula..!! Aaahaa tiger suits more… he he he…Mom went to Gurgaon for giving some exams…
It was almost a month long freedom. Me and dad to rule home..Our maid Manju went for indefinite off..We managed almost a week without washing utensils & using banana leaves. But then the day came when we had to wash utensils. But how? I did not know at that time & best ever expected from dad that even he didn’t know..he he he
And as always he came out with this wonderful innovative idea… Dad asked me to get all the dishes out in the garden. I applied soap on the utensils and now what…?? Dad was sitting on the top of the stairs and was holding this long black pipe aiming towards me.. And I had to defense myself using those utensils… Gawd I was all wet and dishes were all clean..!!!

DAD THE GREAT CHEF!!
Who says dads do not exploit..here is the great example:

That evening he came out with a new amazing plan..Priyu lets make custard..and me 11yrs old baby all excited and filled with excitement got ready..
Here comes dad’s fabulous idea
Lets divide custard making task 50-50 so that it can b done fast.
He selected mixing custard powder into a cup of milk & asked me 2 boil milk .

And finaly..
I was sitting in hot kitchen with sweat all on me during peak summers on slab to get the milk boil properly & dad sitting in icy cool bedroom watching TV & mixing custard powder..
50-50 job division..!!!

Though I have tried my best to express what you mean to me..How special is the time spent with you. But still it’s just a few fraction of all that you mean to me.
Mom is your oxygen and you are MINE..!!

CONGRATULATIONS for completing half century. But dad, Indian Cricket Team relies all on you…So we need a complete CENTURY..!!!

LOVE YOU DAD…CHEERS..!!

ANSHU

On MUKESH'S 50th BIRTHDAY , I would like to share what I know about him but I say..... DON KO JANNANA MUSHKIL HI NAHI NAMUMKIN HAI ....

He is my HUBBY ...& I am with him from 24yrs 10months& 11days ....so I feel that I will do the full justification with him ..... as a HUSBAND ..he is loving ,supportive ,optimistic, lively, & obedient ...he is the one who gave me my recognition as ANSHUMALI not as Mrs MUKESH ...he is the one who motivated me to study & be self dependent ...on each & every step of my journey he is with me with his full support ...I know some times in my busy shedule I couldn't give him much time but he never complains ... moreover he is my guide ... being in the profession of teaching ,he guided me to develop quality circle in class....this is the one face of the MUKESH which reflects that he is very serious kind of person but in real he is very LIVELY ....I know series of incidences but would like to share a few of them .....

when we were in Gopal Nagar which is 30km from Bilaspur . To do shopping was biggest task ..Priyu was 10months old...it was difficult to take Priyu with me for shopping ..... he said, " I will do all the shopping need not to take pains, u give me list " ... I was too happy & made a long list of items ..I kept reminding him that don't forget!! late in the evening he came without any bags... I asked where are the items ...he coolly took out the Johnsons soap & I asked where are other items he said YAHI TO LANE KO KAHA THA ...I screamed where is the list ....he coolly said which list ?? I said check your pocket...& the list was there ...he said.. I BECOME BLANK TO SEE YOUR LIST .....my God I never tried again .....look at him,he was BLANK to see the list ...

I am a GOD fearing lady , almost do pooja every day & I see he was not doing it so i requested him don't do much ... only light up the AGARBATTI in my small temple at home ...initially he was like u do i can't do but anyhow he agreed & very sincerely started lighting up the agarbatti every day ...one day i saw match stick in agarbatti stand then next day also .. I asked Priyu whats this why do you put this match stick in stand ...she said its not me... then who else can do this... the 3rd day in the morning when he was about to light up agarbatti I asked him do you put that match stick in agarbatti stand ... he said YES I do that & agarbattis are all finished ... i said how can u do this... he again lightup the match stick did the ritual & put it back in agarbatti stand as we do ....HE HAS HIS OWN SOLUTIONS

As we all were busy in our own work .... so I decided that we all will have evening POOJA together ...Priyu was in 10th so she supported me & ultimatly by voting & all I won .....daily evening Aarti was chanted by all of us .... things were running very cool....one day i saw at the time of Aarti mukesh was absconded....I searched every rooms calling.. at last i found him under the bed lying straight .... I asked him what is this Mukesh he said ....TUMHARI VO AARTI SE BACHNE KE LIYE.... we all had great time ultimatly my innovative idea of Aarti could not run .......

At last not least he is a very sweet loving cute buddy & hubby who keeps us lively every time ..I know he can't romance saying beautiful lines & exchanging gifts but overall in his words as he says '' YOU ARE MY OXYGEN ".....I say," YOU ARE MY UNIVERSE" & I know this time on our SILVER JUBILEE 19feb 09 you will be with us at UDAIPUR ...

WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY LONG HEALTHY LIFE & HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I LOVE YOU 2much , 3much, 4much ,5much ....... SWEET HEART!!!

AMIT

Hi Uncle,

Seeing a person, living each tick of clock with the feel of happiness in the air is all together a different experience. Though never had much interaction except aunty's boring litterature lectures.

Wish u a beautiful life ahead and zeal to live it with a Zenith of success.

Happy Birthday!!!

SWARAJ

Happy B'day Mausaji,

Most memorable moment for me with you will obviously be your Bernoulli's theorem examples. How does a plane fly? How does a Ball Spin..and your other physics theorems proving why does water flow in a V shape from a tap to a bucket. Well all that did made my Physics concept strong....U have always been a Bindaas Mausa for me..B like Dat...
Happy b'day once again..

VINEET (REVRI)

Hi Mukesh

OH! Sorry M---da

This seems to be story of recent past when I joined in the Government Inter College, Roorkee in the year 1971 in VIII standard. There were a few old faces e.g. Sushil, Gurudarshan Singh, Sanjay Seth and some more of my primary school called “Kalavati Vidya Mandir”. In fact I was comfortable seeing some old faces. Teacher gave me seat in the front row where happened to be Rajeev Sethi used to sit and he was a close associate of Gurudarshan Singh who by that time became the ‘Dada’ of the class. He had old rivalry with me in Kalawati School where I have beaten him many time got a chance to take his revenge and he instigated Rajeev Sethi. He threw my school bag and abused at me. I got angry and took no time in wrestle with him. With a trick of ‘Dhobi Path’ I climbed on his chest and by the time teacher entered in the class. Dinesh Mohan (Bander) became my first friend and offered me a seat. After that period many of the classmates boosted me and Chadaofy me. Gurudarshan who was moving with a gang of seven-eight boys of the class, tried again many a time but I warned him not to come in my way. Later on with time I realised that this is not my cup of tea and slowly withdrawn and settled down. Over a period of time many students of class became my friends.

In one of the reshuffle in the class seating arrangement I was given seat with Arvind (Kundan Halwai wala) and one more, Johri of Railway Colony used to sit behind me and I don’t remember the exact incident but he gave me a name in the school. I think you were the master mind behind that because you were among the most excited person after this ‘Namkaran Sanskar’ and gave a wide publicity.

Do you recall our Sundriyalji the Sanskrit teacher, when everybody in the class used to stand up and touch his feet on his arrival in the class and he used to “Jhidkofy” and say “Door Hato Dushto”. In this process half the time of that period used to pass in settling down and there was hardly any time left for the lecture. Once somebody pinched on his feet and then he got annoyed and left the class. I think you were the culprit.

In the same year, the Maths teacher, the Class use to call him “Chakotra” was writing on black board and “Pahari” Ravinder Goel got-up and said “Chakotra” loudly and by the time teacher could turn he sat down and then there was a big laughter cracked down. The whole class could not resist laughing loudly except “pahari” and teacher caught him immediately and punished.

Do you remember when you said that “Actor to Sharif Hote Hain”? Somebody picked up this and made a point to tease you. We all were teasing you especially Sushil pulled you for hours and you were running all nook and corner of the class and finally in school. You made all efforts to shut the mouths and stop teasing. But that was the day a Namkaran Sanskar Wahan per Hua tha, I think “Actor Sharif” was the another name given.

I know you were a tough fighter and had a great stamina, we all used to catch you but you had very flexible slim body. to my memory hardly anybody could succeed in catching you. You tried to impress us by doing pull-ups and other acrobatic on parallel bars once we went to University Pavilion and demonstrated you skills on other equipments.

You were very creasy of eating the “Gular Fruit” you used to open up the “Gular Fruit” and gulp it up; it used to give me like chalk and cheese feeling. My God!

One day somebody threw a pebble on honeycomb in interval and there was an attack of honey bees all over. The hawkers ran away leaving there “Rehdy” alone. Pahari, hiding under one of the Rehdy picked up some Samosas and distributed among other friends hiding with him.

The Great Principal of Great School Mr Tola Ram Nim was a unique character, for a smallest mistake he used to ask “Likh Kar Muafi Mango”

How many nick names were given by our class? If I list it down it will fill all the space. Anyway let me try:
Actor Sharif / Makoda
Revary /Gazak
Tota
Kabari
Kali Chidiya
Chakotara
BSM
Pahari
Gainda
Ganja
Bander
Chander
Nayewali
Pachhi
And many more I am not able to recollect, may be if you can add some more names.

Everybody in our batch was of his own class, be it Tota-kabadi, Bander-Chander, Krishnavtar-Yogesh, Jaggi etc. I recall one of the Gang of boys (as there were many Gangs in our batch)stole the seal of Negi Sir the Hindi Teacher, who happened to be I/c NCC and once they made a requisition of Samosa in the name of distribution of Samosas after the weekly NCC Parade and collected around sixty numbers from Kundan Halwai. I was told that the Gang took that basket near canal bank and ate as much as they could and rest they thrown in the canal.

Once another Gang planned to rob the school cash but they could not succeed.

Another Gang was habitual of watching first day first show on and for that matter they used to cycle down to Haridwar for that.

In 11th & 12th standard, the whole class was more interested in passing most of the time in making fun even during subject class like Maths & Physics. Teacher of Maths, Physics & chemistry were more interested in taking privet tuitions. Mr Joshi the lecturer of Physics used to be more interested in telling crickets stories rather then teaching the subject. Some of us were smart they were never serious during the school timing but at home may be the strict discipline at home didn’t allow them to loose time and finally succeeded.

It looks like that not much of the time has passed. Many old memories sweet or sour got imprinted in our mind and made a great impact in shaping our personality. Whatever we are today is result of our past. Many things we achieved in our life are the results of our deeds good or bad. It depends upon various external and internal factors but we fail to recognise them. The atmosphere we get, the friends we live with are not in our hands. The support and cooperation, energy flow through us which make us something very special and unique are not ours. This truth each one of us must realise. Sooner is better, but this is the fact we have to understand. Those don’t develop this insight perish at the end.

The batch I consider was the most notorious one on the earth of that time. The school was having contrast of good and bad forces around but there was no dearth of talent …..

At the end I can say we had a fabulous time during our school days and the exposure we got, was unmatched which has led us to achieve greater heights.

Dear, I am very happy to see the excitement in Prerna Beti and Bhabhiji in celebrating your 50th B’day.

Dear, looking to see you all soon and have a nice time.

At the end I can only say that “Chalo Tere Din bhi Badal Gaye” Lekin Itna Jarroor Kahunga “Yaar Ab To Sudhar Jaa, Apni Harkatoo Ko Badal ley Makodey”.

Mukesh's Philosophy for life :
Epicureanism
( is an ancient Greek philosophical system taught by Epicurus. It emphasized the goal of a happy and content life in the here and now, rejecting both superstitous fear of the gods and notions of an afterlife. )

Though the modern use of the term "Epicurean" is associated with the saying, "Eat, drink and be merry,"

Comments:

Gopal : My Best Friend ( Shows age is no bar for being a friend). Waiting for getting a gift on his b'day ( particularly different ones football, basket ball etc.) Enjoys his company.

Ishana: Very particular about his hair staying in proper order. Keeps a comb and does up his hair time and again. Enjoys his company

Mona: Bhukh Laag rahi hai! Khane me kya Hai? Kela hai? Aunty (Mona's mother) ladoo hai kya? ( Voracious eater)
Anshu ko samjhao ki weight kam kare.( Very concerned for his partners health more than his own). Fun to spend time with.

Vijay: Best Friend, fighter, sportsman, adventure seeker, jovial, merrymaker, lovable, swimmer can continue endlessly.

Love/ fondness for : Food, water ( come upon a pool of water and he has to be in it ASAP no matter what), excersises ( after wt. crosses 85 kg & waist line crosses 36 inches)

Competitive : My hair appear much better than yours ( On a very personal level).

Memorable events : Outings & moments spent together In first Zawar ( Beer on the hill point outside the house, Bonfire in the backyard, Badminton, Tidi & Jai Samand, second Udaipur ( nostalgia for picnics & treks on Nimach & Karni mata, Gulab bagh walks, Lake trips Pichola & Fateh sagar, Shilp gram mela visits, singing drives from Zawar to Udaipur).
New year & festivals (Holi , Diwali) dance, drinks & action on all such special occassions.

Tough side : Work w/o thinking about how it would affect his boss. Least bothered.

Risk taking : Job switch at a very critical stage in life.

Remembering this doesn't give a feeling that he has reached a young age of half century. He is still full of fun, energy, daringness and blab blab ......... I can continue endlessly.

VIJAY GOEL

Jindagi mein bahut se hath-se hot-te hai. Ek hath-sa mera sath bhi hua. Ek din teen bande meri absence mein meri factory mein iea , aur mera liya poonchne lage. Teeno bahot hi satir demag ke thein. Jab mein nahi mela to apni pehchan chood gaye. Un teeno mein ek banda Mukesh tha. Bahoot samay nickalne se mein theeno ko nahi pehchana, per Mukesh ne ek baat yaad dila-di , wo thi : “ 15 all” .

Yeah sun ker mujeh bahot ascharya hua ki usko waha YAAD tha. Yaad kyo nahi hoota . Mane usae “PEEDA” di aur wo “PEDIT” tha. Najane Jane-Unjane kitno ko me-ne peeda di aur kitne pedit hua. Per yeah khash pedit tha , jo apni peda kabhi bole bhi nahi saka. Aur us din usne apni peda jahir kari jab woh janta tha ki ab wo kewal peda bat-ta sakta hai per peda kam nahi ho sakti thee. Mujhe yaad nahi ki mene kabhi uski ragging ki. Ha agar kari hoti to ‘kiya hota’ ? to doo baat hoti: Ya toh Mukesh yaad rakhta ya Bhool Jata. Agar us-se yaad rahta to “doo baat hoti: Ya toh woh chupata ya subko batta deta. Agar batta deta to “doo baat hoti” Ya toh woh mujse ladta ya Sharma ho jata

Aur abto ek hi baat ha ki woh SHARMA hi hai. SHARMA hi thaa aur SHARMA hi rahega.
Abto sare dost hi “50 ALL” ho gaye. Yeah 50 hamein bat-ti hein ki ab hum “50 Ke Young Man Hein” Aur aaj jub Mukesh bhi hum mein samil hoga, us din se woh phir Jawan hoga. Mukesh ko is mukam per anne per anek-anek badap hi.

Keep It Up and Keep Sailing in all weathers of life Bravely and Enjoy

KABIR

Hi Mukesh,

I am so happy to know that you have just become a fifty year old boy. Remember when we were together at UOR, I was from Dhaka and you were from LOCAL and we were just friend/batch mate doing different subjects. After a gap of more than 25 years, again we are together but this time in Dhaka i.e., you are from Roorkee and I am from LOCAL and now we are very good close friends with an added dimension as a family friend, which was more possible for active participation and cooperation from our wives - thanks to them.

On this joyous occasion I wish to see your happy face happier and also in the years to come.

MANY MANY HAPPY RETURN OF THE DAY!

Kabir

JAGDEEP

Hi dear Mukesh,

Remember, bunking school and bathing in irrigation canal at Asafnagar. After bath sun bathing and having sugarcanes. We used to cycle 10-15 kms just for fun and independence.Never enjoyed a picnic more,Do you agree?

(Jagdeep)

ANIL PUNDIR

We studied from 6 to 12th calass in GIC Roorkee . Mukesh was a gentle studious boy and I do not remember he was ever punished by the teachers.

In our school days teachers frequetly used a DANDA called Gyanchand(the enlighter) even up to class 12th someone often get slaped by Maths or Science teacher. Mukesh was never among the toppers of the class in Roorkee it was ambition of every boy with PCM toget admission in the university of Roorkee and Mukesh was the only boy who got selected and entire top layer was left behind. This was a great achievment

At this point I remember from these golden days most of the faces some by name some by face and some by nicknames given by the classmates.
There was one MAKODA ,KABADI,TOTA,REVRI,JIVANU,etc .

I wish all the sucess and good health for him at this special occasion
